Designed by William Morris in 1876 and produced by his collaborator William De Morgan, these unused tiles for Membland Hall reflect the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement, which valued handcraft, integrity, and beauty in everyday life. One set now resides in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
